Hotel Spinne Grindelwald

The place was clean and brilliant, it had excellent and gentle staff with great service and staff.

The rooms are neat and new-fashioned, with it's own balcony and tea, coffee. The location is very central. Thanks very much, you are amazing!

A most unexpected wake-up call

Woke up to fine mountain views and enjoyed good spa amenities. The breakfast provided a great variety, and the staff were pleasant.

The place was fairly clean with a super-friendly staff with great service and staff. The location was marvellous and gorgeous, very close to bus main terminal, COOP and Grindewald First, the centre of the village, and a miniature golf course.

The arrival said it all, first check-in and go to your room and afterward park your car. Staff is very, very friendly and location is perfect. We have booked the suite and the (bath)rooms were great including the balcony with mountain view. We had a very pleasant stay. Food in the restaurant is excellent including the breakfast, lot's of choice.

Inconsistent water temperature in showers!!! Limited parking availability made it hard to find a space. Basic room furnishings felt outdated, compromising comfort for the price paid!!! Loud noise outside during evenings disrupted relaxation!!!

The hotel staff were very welcoming, warm and friendly. The atmosphere of the hotel and decor of the room were cosy, comfortable and very homely. The breakfasts were excellent...wonderul food and variety, excellent friendly service from the staff. The balcony and views of the mountain were wonderful!! The location was perfect as we were within easy walking distance of everything. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we are ever lucky enough to return to Grindelwald, and would most certainly recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Atmosphere, personnel, wellness were excellent

High cost

Staying in the Suite Eiger View was lovely, especially enjoying breakfast on the balcony with lovely mountain views. The evening poolside ambiance was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking.

Excellent staff: helpful and pleasant. Good breakfast: provide both American and Continental breakfast. Nice spa facility. Wifi is free and connection is fluent. Guests are welcomed to use the spa facility after a day of sport even after checking out.

The spa centre is very nice and the steam is awesome. They even have projector that plays mountain scenery slides while using the spa. The spa centre is shared by both men and women, meaning both genders have access to it anytime. We can wear swimsuits in the whirlpool, the steam room, and ice room but not in the sauna. The problem is that there is no changing rooms with curtain/door for private change of cloth, so changing can be quite uneasy.

Facilities, location

Thin walls; noisily; heard telephone rings and voices of neighbors whole night. The room was not clean.

Would recommend for a trip

Fine view, good amenities, well-structured facilities, including the relaxing spa area with a jacuzzi and sauna, and a short walk to the transportation station for easy access to Männlichen.

Everything was really good.

Location is magnificant with excellent view of the mountains but be sure to take a mountain view room! Staff was very helpful. We were picked up at train station (only 5 minute walk). Breakfast was very good. Resturant was very good and fair value. Will prepare the meals per your request.

Prices are high compared to comparable hotels in us but that is mainly due to $us weakness. Could use some repair and clean up.
